برئاسة عبد العزيز بن طلال: أجفند يمويل 19 مشروعاً تنموياً

عقد مجلس إدارة برنامج الخليج العربي للتنمية (أجفند) اجتماعه برئاسة صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبد العزيز بن طلال بن عبد العزيز آل سعود، رئيس مجلس إدارة أجفند، وذلك أمس الخميس 25 ديسمبر 2025، بمقر أجفند في الرياض.
خلال الاجتماع، استعرض المجلس الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله، بما في ذلك أنشطة وإنجازات أجفند للعام 2025، إضافة إلى مناقشة المشروعات المقدمة في الدورة الحالية.
ثمن مجلس الإدارة مشاركة أجفند في احتفال اليوبيل الذهبي لمجموعة التنسيق العربية بمناسبة مرور خمسين عامًا على تأسيسها، الذي أُقيم في العاصمة واشنطن، والذي تضمن تكريم مسيرة المجموعة وإسهاماتها المحورية في تحسين حياة الملايين، وتعزيز صمود المجتمعات، ودعم مسارات النمو الشامل، وترسيخ نموذج رائد للعمل الجماعي والشراكة الدولية في خدمة التنمية المستدامة.
كما أشاد المجلس بجهود أجفند في تنظيم حفل جائزة الأمير طلال الدولية للتنمية البشرية لعام 2024، الذي أُقيم في مدينة مدريد، حيث تم تكريم الفائزين في مجال “الحياة تحت الماء”، الهدف 14 من أهداف التنمية المستدامة 2030.
وأقر المجلس اجتماعه بتمويل 19 مشروعًا تنموياً تلبي معايير أجفند، وتتوافق مع أهدافه التنموية، خاصة فيما يتعلق بمحاوره الخمس المتمثلة في دعم تنمية الطفولة المبكرة، وتمكين المرأة، ودعم المجتمع المدني، والتعليم المفتوح، والشمول المالي، إلى جانب مجالات تنموية ذات أولوية في المياه والأمن الغذائي، والتغير المناخي، والاستدامة البيئية ليشمل 29 دولة مستفيدة.
اختتم المجلس الاجتماع مؤكداً على ضرورة تبنّي رؤية متقدمة تُرسّخ البناء على ما تحقق من منجزات، وتُعزّز أثر أجفند بما ينسجم مع التحولات العالمية وأولويات التنمية المستدامة، وذلك في إطار الاستراتيجية المحدثة لأجفند وتطوير الهوية المؤسسية.

الجدير بالذكر بأنه منذ التأسيس، دعم أجفند 1,796 مشروعاً تنموياً في 133 دولة، بالتعاون مع أكثر من 450 شريكاً من المنظمات الأممية والدولية والإقليمية وجهات حكومية وجمعيات أهلية.

The Board of Directors of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of AGFUND’s Board of Directors, held its 32nd meeting on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at AGFUND’s headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the Board reviewed key agenda items, including AGFUND’s activities and achievements during 2025, and discussed the proposed development projects to be funded in the current cycle.
The board expressed appreciation for AGFUND’s participation in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Arab Coordination Group (ACG), marking 50 years since its establishment, held in Washington, D.C. The event honored the Group’s legacy and pivotal contributions to improving the lives of millions, enhancing community resilience, supporting inclusive growth, and establishing a leading model of collaborative international partnership in service of sustainable development.
The Board commended AGFUND’s efforts during the 2024 Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development Award Ceremony in Madrid, where the winning projects, focusing on ‘Life Below Water’ and aligning with Goal 14 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, were honored
The Board approved funding for 19 development projects that meet AGFUND’s criteria and align with its development objectives, particularly across its five programs: Women’s Empowerment, Early Childhood Development, Open Education, Civil Society, and Financial Inclusion. The approved projects also address priority development sectors, including water, food security, climate change, and environmental sustainability, benefiting 29 countries.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on adopting a forward-looking vision that builds on past achievements and enhances AGFUND’s impact in line with global transformations and sustainable development priorities, within the framework of AGFUND’s updated strategy and institutional identity.
It is worth mentioning that since inception, AGFUND has supported 1,796 development projects across 133 countries, collaborating with over 450 partners, including UN agencies, international and regional organizations, government entities, and NGOs.
