برئاسة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن طلال.. مجلس إدارة أجفند يعتمد استراتيجية 2030 ويقر تمويل 15 مشروعًا تنمويًا

اعتمد مجلس إدارة برنامج الخليج العربي للتنمية (أجفند)، برئاسة صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن طلال بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، رئيس مجلس إدارة أجفند، استراتيجية البرنامج حتى عام 2030، في خطوة تمثل مرحلة جديدة في مسيرته التنموية، كما أقر تمويل (15) مشروعًا تنمويًا في مجالات التنمية المستدامة، وذلك خلال اجتماعه الذي عقد اليوم الخميس بمقر أجفند في مدينة الرياض.
وقال صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن طلال بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، رئيس مجلس إدارة أجفند: “أتقدم بأسمى آيات الشكر والتقدير إلى أصحاب الجلالة والسمو قادة دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية على دعمهم الكريم والمتواصل لأجفند، الذي شكّل على مدى عقود ركيزةً أساسيةً لمسيرته التنموية، ورسّخ مكانته منصةً خليجيةً رائدةً لخدمة الإنسان والتنمية. ويجسد اعتماد استراتيجية أجفند حتى عام 2030 امتدادًا للإرث الذي أرسى دعائمه الأمير طلال بن عبدالعزيز -رحمه الله-، وانطلاقةً جديدةً تنسجم مع رؤى دول الخليج وتطلعاتها التنموية.”
وأضاف سموه: “تنطلق استراتيجيتنا من قناعة راسخة بأن تنمية الإنسان هي محور التنمية، وأن الاستدامة، والشراكات، والابتكار، وتعظيم الأثر تمثل ركائز المرحلة المقبلة. ونسعى إلى توسيع الشراكات النوعية، وتعزيز كفاءة الاستثمار التنموي، وقياس أثر المبادرات، بما يعزز مكانة أجفند منصةً تنمويةً خليجيةً رائدةً تسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، وتواكب التحولات التنموية التي تشهدها دولنا والمنطقة والعالم.”
وخلال الاجتماع، استعرض المجلس الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله، بما في ذلك أنشطة وإنجازات أجفند خلال النصف الأول من عام 2026م، إلى جانب المشروعات المقدمة في الدورة الحالية، كما اطلع على المشروعات الفائزة بجائزة الأمير طلال الدولية للتنمية البشرية لعام 2025، التي جاءت تحت عنوان “طاقة نظيفة وبأسعار معقولة”، والمتوافقة مع الهدف السابع من أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
كما أشاد المجلس بالجهود التطويرية التي يقودها أجفند لتعزيز كفاءة العمل المؤسسي، وفي مقدمتها اطلاق بوابة لتمويل المشاريع التنموية، والتي تمثل خطوة نوعية لتوسيع فرص التمويل وتوجيه الموارد نحو الأولويات التنموية والمبادرات الاعلى أثراً.
كما أقر المجلس تمويل (15) مشروعًا تنموياً تستوفي معايير أجفند، وتتوافق مع توجاهاته التنموية، خاصة فيما يتعلق بمحاوره الخمس المتمثلة في دعم تنمية الطفولة المبكرة، وتمكين المرأة، ودعم المجتمع المدني، والتعليم المفتوح، والشمول المالي، وتعكس المشاريع المقرر تمويلها تنوعًا في الاستجابة للتحديات التنموية الراهنة، من خلال بناء القدرات، وتوظيف الحلول المبتكرة والتقنيات الحديثة، ودعم صغار المزارعين، وأولوياته في دعم الفئات الأكثر احتياجًا بما يسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة
واختتم المجلس اجتماعه باستعراض الخطة التنفيذية للاستراتيجية الجديدة، التي ترتكز على مواءمة أعمال البرنامج مع التحولات التنموية المتسارعة، وتعزيز الشراكات، والاستثمار في الإنسان، والابتكار، والاستدامة، وتعظيم الأثر التنموي، بما يعزز مكانة أجفند منصةً تنمويةً خليجيةً رائدةً تخدم الإنسان وتسهم في تحقيق تطلعات دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية وأهداف التنمية المستدامة.
ويُذكر أن أجفند، منذ تأسيسه، أسهم في دعم 1,798 مشروعًا تنمويًا في 171 دولة، بالتعاون مع أكثر من 500 شريك من المنظمات الأممية والدولية والإقليمية، والجهات الحكومية، ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني، بما رسخ مكانته إحدى أبرز المؤسسات التنموية الداعمة للتنمية الإنسانية على المستوى الدولي.

The Board of Directors of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of AGFUND’s Board of Directors, approved the AGFUND’s Strategy until 2030, marking a new phase in its development journey. The Board also approved funding for 15 development projects in areas related to sustainable development, during its semi- annual meeting held today, Thursday, at AGFUND headquarters in Riyadh.
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of AGFUND’s Board of Directors, said: “I extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, for their generous and continued support to AGFUND. Over the decades, this support has formed a fundamental pillar of AGFUND’s development journey and has strengthened its position as a leading Gulf platform dedicated to serving people and advancing development. The approval of AGFUND’s Strategy until 2030 represents a continuation of the legacy established by Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, may he rest in peace, and a new starting point aligned with the development visions and aspirations of the Gulf countries.”
His Royal Highness added: “Our strategy is grounded in a firm belief that human development lies at the heart of development, and that sustainability, partnerships, innovation, and maximizing impact are key pillars of the next phase. We seek to expand strategic partnerships, enhance the efficiency of development investment, and measure the impact of initiatives, in a way that reinforces AGFUND’s position as a leading Gulf development platform that contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and keeps pace with the development transformations taking place across our countries, the region, and the world.”
During the meeting, the Board reviewed key agenda items, including AGFUND’s activities and achievements during the first half of 2026, as well as the proposed development projects to be funded in the current cycle. The Board also briefed on the winning projects of the 2025 Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development, under the theme “Affordable and Clean Energy,” in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 7.
The Board commended AGFUND’s ongoing development efforts to enhance institutional efficiency, foremost among them the launch of the Project Funding Portal. The portal represents a qualitative step toward expanding financing opportunities and directing resources toward development priorities and high-impact initiatives.
The Board approved funding for 15 development projects that align with AGFUND’s criteria and development goals, particularly its key focus areas: early childhood development, women’s empowerment, civil society development, open education, and financial inclusion. The approved projects reflect a diverse response to current development challenges through capacity building, the use of innovative solutions and modern technologies, support for smallholder farmers, and a focus on the most vulnerable groups, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Board concluded its meeting by reviewing the implementation plan of the new strategy, which is based on aligning AGFUND’s work with accelerating development transformations, strengthening partnerships, investing in people, promoting innovation and sustainability, and maximizing development impact. This will further reinforce AGFUND’s position as a leading Gulf development platform that serves people and contributes to fulfilling the aspirations of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
Since its establishment, AGFUND has implemented 1,798 projects across 171 countries, in collaboration with more than 500 development partners, including UN, international and regional organizations, government entities, and civil society institutions. This has strengthened its standing as one of the leading development institutions supporting human development at the international level.
